APRIL 12 TO 15 BRINDISI TO BARI AND MORE REPAIRS
In the morning I lifted the anchor and sailed calmly to Brindisi in the afternoon where I docked at the Opprodo delle Indie that is a wide piazza bought an Italian sim card for keeping INTERNET connection and welcomed Rosabelle who took a two leg flight to come to give me warm support in my adventure sailing. From Brindisi the winds turned less cooperative i.e. week, changing, often head winds. So we advanced as we could, anchored the first night, took shelter from the waves in the port Mola di Bari the second and finally reached Bari on Sunday night on time for seafood supper before her flying back to Athens on Monday morning.
Meanwhile in the last few days I have been trying to find a way to repair the cooling liquid pump this time that leaked in her turn and wobbled dangerously menacing to stop working and letting my old Ruggerini to overheat. After various phone calls, promises of help and fruitles attempts to dismantle her myself I had to move from the old port to the new where the local "cantieri navali" took over. One potential day of good fast sailing wasted. Hope for the best.
